Last I checked, there are not more baseball players then there were 10yrs ago.
However, there are 10x the amount of travel teams & events.
Every aspect of youth baseball is watered down.
It’s time to collaborate rather than continue to splinter. The game needs it 💡. #baseball

If that number of 3200 is accurate it is the equivalent of 91 D1 Baseball Teams with rosters of the 35 max. We only have 299 D1 programs. If the 2000 is accurate it is the equivalent of 57 D1 teams. That means 20% of all D1 players are in the portal.

NCAA Transfer Portal update: almost 3200 guys looking for new schools, and it’s late June! 2000 are leaving their current D 1 programs. If you are playing a lot at your “smaller school”, or have a chance to, stay there!!! You don’t get this time back!
