This has been funny to me. I had no idea until this series how put upon and unrecognized New Yorkers feel. No shame there. But the pretense that the working class underdogs of the NBA are the team from the nation’s most cosmopolitan city is insane
It reminds me a lot of the Platner oyster boy larp… taking the bona fides of workers and their suffering and putting it on like a costume for some national play
I think Wemby needs a fellow big man or analog. I think Wemby’s training with the monks was chef’s kiss. I think Wemby is neurodivergent (as someone who is too) and his next training should be tailored to that. That is a whole world to negotiate in terms of stimulation
Coach Mitch talked about each player becoming individually stronger and then stronger as a team. They really do think of themselves as a corporate organism. Wemby needs this piece of training as the leader of this squad.
I could be wrong, and I hesitated to post this. But I’ve been watching closely since he got to SA and thought this for awhile. To me this kept crossing my mind as a missing piece and I’m speaking from a place of love and respect and trying to explain what I see.

In Gladiator, Russell Crowe says he refused to do a sex scene with Connie Nielson’s character
“I just kept pushing back. I said, ‘This is a story about a man who’s avenging the death of his wife and his child. He can’t stop for sex along the way. It would ruin the journey.”
Congrats to NY. SA is disappointed but this has been an extraordinary season, showing Los #Spurs are on the upward swing. But I fear that any frustration w/ SA's finals performance, regardless of its legitimacy, for some fans, might overshadow, their success & potential...
No, this should not have been a flagrant or even a regular foul on Spurs C Victor Wembanyama.
Kicks PG Jalen Brunson clearly kicks his left leg out. He put himself in a position to get hurt.
This is on Brunson, not Wemby.
No one understands the CHARACTER of the long suffering Knicks fans who have stood with this team through thick and thin ever since moving to New York 18 months ago.
