The sudden passing of Economic and Urban Development Director Ryan Smith is a devastating loss for our city.
Ryan was a highly regarded and respected member of the city’s Executive Team. He worked for the city since 2018 and helped oversee some of the significant redevelopment we have experienced downtown, in the Arts District, on the Historic Westside and elsewhere.
He is greatly missed by members of our city employee family and by those in the community he worked with.
