When our child protection system is in crisis. When foster and kinship carers are treated like second-class citizens. When 700 children are in residential care at $500,000 per child. When we have waited for over 2 years for the election promise of changes to the Child Protection Act. While the Minister ignores the pleas of carers throughout the State. The Minister for Child Protection (and Sport, Recreation and Racing) is squealing with glee because she got through estimates. This is a disgrace. The Minister must resign.
