Gratuitous reminder: the President works for US. For you, for me, for our neighbors, friends, children and parents. He is invested with OUR power. He works for America & Americans. He doesn't work for his donors, for Israel, or for any other foreign power, or lobby group. He is not God (or a king, either). He is our servant-employee, the custodial representative of OUR heritage, power, and to a huge extent, our future. Same standard applies to any American politician. Local, state, or national. There is nothing wrong or shameful about criticizing these supposed "public servants" when they fall short. When they are corrupted, blinded, and deaf. When they age-out, are consumed by ego, dementia, or greed. Or, when they are held hostage by blackmail, or very obviously real threats of violent, public, murder. We are Americans. Still the freest, toughest, most blessed individuals on this planet. And we have a unique right - a righteous obligation - to keep our "leaders" in line.
