1. Massively shrink the size of the board. For the size of organization it currently is, it should be very small and agile. Its comically huge and beauracratic at present 2. Stop running it like its a representative democracy unto itself. It should be much more business-like and run towards stated, attainable goals that have short, medium and long term road-maps of stepping-stone goals to acheive. 3. Make the metrics for success based on liberty achieved instead of traditional metrics like dollars raised. The traditional metrics are all historically small potatoes that have swung around in a largely meaningless range. 4. Put into motion a strategy and goals based on whats actually possible within political reality and actively discourage actions that waste very very scarce time money and resources. People should be running for local offices with teeth and races that have historically gotten their states ballot access and literally nothing else. 5. Culture purge and refresh. The party cukture is toxic and the product of spinning wheels forever and people being crabs in a bucket over meaningless titles because they have no status anywhere else. All of this dead wood shoukd be straight up banned so theres even a chance for non-freaks to want to be involved 6. Rebrand. Get away from it being the “libertarian” party. Its too rigid and constrained and dramatically lowers its ceiling. I also like the idea of American Liberty party. The LP comes from a time when all of the media and narrative centers were complely controlled and monolith. The idea of the party was for it to be a political vehicle to spread the message and to the extent that that message gained traction, political success would follow. This model is DOA in todays world. That role is filled by podcasts and influencers who utilize the resources of non profits and original source material to shape the message. 7. Tactical flexibility. Open up the possibility to endorse other parties’ candidates and institutionalize being kingmakers in races that we otherwise cant win at present anyway. If you cant win, leverage. If you cant leverage, spoil. The only available wins are local. 8. Robust program to organize with establishrd issue orgs.
