Try the gray stuff, it’s delicious. Don’t believe me, ask the Ducklings. We finished our fairytale/Disney week by making and trying the gray stuff from Beauty and the Beast. @MeriwetherLES

One of the kindergarten standards is the study of past and present. What better way to cover this topic during Avengers week than with comic books from the past and now. Definitely see some similarities and a lot of differences.@MeriwetherLES

Stan Lee, creator of the Avengers, was our focus for Artsy Fartsy for Avenger week. Did you know he created over 300 characters? The Ducklings created their own superhero, which they then turned into a comic book. Story writing at its best! @MeriwetherLES

Wrapped up our Avengers week with some great music. Thank you @jimmyfallon for the fun song to jam out to. My kindergarteners (a.k.a The Ducklings) loved it! Any chance you have some Disney songs? That's our theme next week. :) @MeriwetherLES youtube.com/watch?v=-onk-Qm7…

A great book to read to your class on the power of kindness. We listened to this today as a follow up to our opinion writing on if everyone can be a superhero, why or why not. @MeriwetherLES @MLSPTO youtube.com/watch?v=hEjhqb3I…

Click the link to check out the Duckling Avengers Bitmoji room. This provided the Ducklings some choice in how they wanted to spend their 10 minute independent time during Language Arts rotations. @MeriwetherLES @MLSPTO docs.google.com/presentation…

Me: Can Yoda skip count by 5's using his fingers? Ducklings look at the picture and then say no. Me: Why not? Duckling: Because he only has three fingers. Another Duckling: He would need two more fingers to be able to count by 5's. Bingo! @MeriwetherLES @MLSPTO

The Ducklings used the force to move an empty can without touching it. They created static electricity by rubbing a ballon on their hair. When placed close to the can, the balloons static charge caused the can to move towards it. Also got some funky hair. @MeriwetherLES @MLSPTO
