Grateful for the opportunity from @atiya_dhala to give a talk today on #PEEPtitration in #ARDS at the #ISAC2026@Methodistpccm
Here are the major take-home points:
We’ve been taught to fear #PEEP because of the RV.
But the real problem isn’t PEEP.
It’s the wrong PEEP.

Sepsis is evolving! We’ve moved past the “one-size-fits-all” approach.
Not every patient needs 30 cc/kg.
Not every patient is fluid responsive.
And even if they are fluid responsive, early pressors should still be considered instead of reflexively ordering more fluids.
What happens after a patient survives the ICU?
At @HMethodistMD , Dr. Daniela Moran and the Critical Care Recovery Clinic are redefining ICU survivorship by caring for the long-term physical, cognitive & mental health effects of critical illness.

Second year at the PH Walk today.
In the middle of charts, rounds, and the daily rush of patient care, it’s easy to forget that medicine isn’t just protocols — it’s people.
Today was a reminder.
Hearing patients tell their stories, seeing caregivers, industry, and healthcare teams stand shoulder to shoulder — all fighting the same rare battle — puts everything back into perspective.
Grateful to @Methodistpccm , @SandeepSahayMD , and the @PHAssociation for the opportunity to listen, walk, and be part of something bigger than the hospital walls. #PHWalk2026Houston#PAH#PH#PulmonaryHypertension

We came together for Walk4PICS, walking side by side with our patients from the Critical Care Recovery Clinic. This walk is dedicated to raising awareness of Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) and supporting the journey of ICU survivors 💪🏼.
@HMethodistMD@Methodistpccm
This special event was a reminder that recovery doesn’t end at ICU discharge, it’s a journey we continue together. 💙
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Moran for her vision and leadership, to our incredible patients for their strength and courage.
