Ridglan is closing down, and all the dogs should soon be freed! I just posted this to our rescuer network. This would not have happened without our supporters on social media. Y'all were a key part of this—and will be a key part of the victories to come!

I’ve always appreciated the hand painted chrome-style lettering all over Detroit and had no idea all these signs were done by one guy

For the past month, I’ve been working on a project to map out and document the work of one of the most prolific storefront sign painters in the US - this is Detroit’s Ron Signs

It’s crazy that the AIDS epidemic wiped out an entire generation of thinkers, creatives and revolutionaries. A major loss to our community and the world.

Feeling Brave Tonight? Back in 1993, TSR released the now infamous board game Dragonstrike. Inside the game was a 30-minute VHS tape to introduce kids to roleplaying, the rules, and theming. The game was a good introduction to younger-brothers and newbies into the game. But the video is an old-school cult classic on the internet. But did you know it did so well that they planned to release a sequel? WildSpace! Based on the D&D setting, Spelljammer, this game was set introduce a whole new level of camp to the game. Sadly it was never released. Now the game only lives on in a single amazing trailer. Check it out!

Man, 3D printing has gotten WAY better. Back in the day, you'd be lucky to get one layer of this, and it'd still probably break easily.

"Americans are attached to violence. They attach themselves to processed violence, out of cans. They're TV-hypnotized. TV is the invisible protective shield against bare reality. Twentieth Century culture's disease is the inability to feel the reality. People cluster to TV, soap operas, movies, theatre, pop idols, and they have wild emotions over symbols, but in the reality of their own lives, they're emotionally dead." ~ Jim Morrison

If you like to create datasets, you shouldn’t be in a competition to do it. You should be paid to do it, and paid for access to; if you’re a large organization. AI Science also shouldn’t be a workshop or a thing companies and conferences let people do maybe. Also I’d suggest a dataset of hallucinated caselaw which will likely be a study in AI unraveling the foundational trust of an entire industry that glues down nearly all the other industries and geopolitics Science getting better over time but less so for society was always a given, even the field of General Semantics created by the work of Alfred Korzybski was based on that apparent universal law. That time seems to be over, because of AI, because of Academia’s race to profits, and through a rush to bring these tools to science. Which I am well acquainted with, likely more than can be imagined. I am appalled, that We have invited large lying models into truth requiring fields. We have created a new classification of noise that neither Claude, nor Shannon, Norbert or I can analyze. And this will turn AI that could have been used for Science, into a Mad Science. The congregating in large groups unmasked during a pandemic just adds validity to my theory that Science has peaked. What we’re doing now is mostly not Science. Prestigious science conferences are no exception.

Sloth exists in a wrapped cloth that provides comfort but muffles all sensations. Sloth doesnt see, speak nor hear. The cloth overwhelms them. They are bound by a rope whose edge reaches inside their confinement, giving them the ability to free themselves if so desired.
