Featured work:
«Impact of magnetic ion substitution on the crystal structure of multiferroic Aurivillius phases»
Scientists from Tyndall National Institute have used microscopy techniques to understand structural changes and magnetic behaviour of multiferroic materials 🧲🔬
This paper
uses transmission electron microscopy to show a structural reorganisation from a five- to a six-layered Aurivillius phase, accommodating more magnetic ions while preserving in-plane ferroelectric properties, as
confirmed by piezoresponse force microscopy imaging.
Don't forget registration and abstract submissions are *OPEN* for #mmc2025, taking place once again in the wonderful city of #Manchester UK this summer.
