“Toy Story 4” is just as stylized as something like “Gatto,” just in a different way — the anamorphic lenses, photographic aberrations, bokeh, split diopters, etc are just as art directed and painstakingly crafted as the more painterly approaches they’ve been taking recently. ✨

Rewatching TOY STORY 4, and I genuinely think it might be the best-looking film Pixar’s ever made.
While the industry is (rightfully) moving toward something more stylized, this was the height of Pixar’s realistic style.

Did you know Bo Peep's dress was also made of cloth in Toy Story and Toy Story 2, no just Toy Story 4?
This can be confirmed by the 1995 dolls, the concept art and the Toy Story 1 art book all show or refer to her dress as being a cloth material way before Toy Story 4.
