What a difference a day makes! From 😎 to 🥶. The temperature difference from 87° at Richmond yesterday at 3 pm versus 32° today at 3 pm. Unofficially, the 55° 24-hour temperature difference is the the highest we can find since 1948. 1978 (51°) and 2014 (50°) came closest.
The slopes are open after four nights of #snowmaking

A tease to Fall for many this morning with temps in the 40s & 50s. Washington DC observed a low of 59 deg. marking it's coolest August low temp in 20 years. Mountain locations woke up with a touch of frost & lows in the 30s. More of the chill tonight. #MDwx#VAwx#WVwx#DCwx
ALT Background photo shows frost up in the Glades area of Garrett Co. via our trained spotter in the region. Lows ranged from the 40s and 50s across the region with 30s in the mountains.
