Today the Migrate Drupal UI module also went stable in Drupal 8.6.0-dev. 🎉
Look for 8.6.0-beta this week to test everything and get prepared for the final release.

Migrate Drupal module (older Drupal version migrations) just got stable yesterday in Drupal 8.6.0. Work on making the Upgrade UI stable as well is still ongoing in drupal.org/project/drupal/is…, reviews welcome.
This is shaping up to be a very exciting release!

I am writing a book on #Drupal 8 migrations. It extensively uses YAML for defining migrations and keeps PHP to a minimum. No prior knowledge of the migrate API will be required. Does it sound like something you would like to read? Anything in particular you want to be covered? :)

Now's a good time to consider upgrading to D8 commerce. commerce_migrate is slated for alpha6 tomorrow. Lots of fixing going for Ubercart and Commerce upgrades. Including full test runs (and fixes) for running a complete upgrade on both platforms. #drupal8
