Memorial Day weekend is different for everyone depending on if they lost of loved one from military service. Take a moment to pray for those that have lost loved ones, and all people in the military currently serving.

This rule extends to more than CEOs. As senior management at an over 200 person company, I walked the floor every morning through all departments. This was intel gathering for myself, and relationships building. As a CEO/Operator coach, I’ve encouraged them to walk the floor. It’s amazing how many senior managers stay confident to their office, and wonder why they are disconnected from their teams company. Walk the floor: 1. Look 2. Ask questions 3. Build relationship The outcome is: 1. Knowing 2. Being informed 3. Reputation building 4. Being connected Ayman, as always. Solid advice. Thank you for sharing.

Many are still in the dark as to the capability of AI. Everything is shifting rapidly, and no matter who you are, you’re behind.
Where will AI be in 1, 2 or 3 years?

Claude and ChatGPT used together is a powerful combo. Use them together by developing the strategy for your project, and have Claude build the artifact you want. Copy and paste responses to each AI for collaboration. Amazing combo.

AI has positively affected every area of my life, and a day doesn’t go by where I don’t rely on it. The future is now, and some are being left behind.

Most people using AI are playing the wrong game. Quick email, summarize a document, answer a question. Useful, but not the game. Recently I built a full package from scratch. Compensation structure with incentive tiers, milestone unlocks, and clawbacks, a job description aligned with the comp, financial projections, an offer letter, a full implementation plan. Every document cross-referenced against every other. All of it accurate, all of it aligned. A coaching client asked me about building something similar for one of his employees. He had no idea I’d just finished it. I sanitized my templates, built a prompt that walked him through every question Claude needed to customize the plan for his company and his employee, and sent it to him. He had the output in a few hours. The hard part is the thinking. Once that’s captured, every handoff after that is almost free. If you’re not using AI, you’re behind. If you are, you’re still behind.

AI note takers have changed how information is captured, shared, and processed in meetings. AI platforms such as Claude have changed how we utilize those transcripts, and interact with that information. Sadly, few people are tapping into the vast amount of information that gets captured over a long period of time. Connecting Claude to my Notetaker has been one of the biggest productivity hacks I’ve been able to tap into. Save yourself some time, and start using this information that is readily available at your fingertips.

Builders have been building for years with any tools available that are at their disposal. The addition of AI has only increased the ability of those that are capable of building, but doesn’t turn non-builders into builders. The key is for all people to leverage tools to maximize their strengths. AI doesn’t magically turn people into who they’re not.
Yes, anyone can build anything now. We know. But it wasn't that hard to do before. You execute a series of steps toward a goal. The problem is psychological. Most people will still fail to start, and even more will fail to iterate. Your competition isn't as large as you think.

Somehow there is an X debate going on right now about VA disability ratings. I'm hearing some idiots saying if it's not from a combat wound, you should not get a disability rating. To which I rebut with the following; 20 years of: -12 mile ruck marches. -5k/10k/10 mile/every other distance runs. -Parachute landing falls. -Obstacle and confidence courses. -Vehicle rollovers. -Helicopter hard landings. -Heat injuries/cold injuries. -Anthrax shots, COVID shots, all other kinds of shots. -"Here, take some Motrin, you'll be fine." -Weeks/Months/Years of high stress and little sleep. -Extended periods of poor nutrition. -Weird diseases you can only get in places like Afghanistan or Korea. -Burn pits. -All other manner of training injuries. -Never telling anybody you are injured because if you do they might pull you from that leadership position you fought so hard to earn. You do all that for 20 years, your body will be torn up, I promise. The US military is a physically demanding place, no matter what your branch of service or MOS. Training accidents happen routinely. People die in peacetime accidents, routinely. The idea that a VA disability rating should only come from something that also earns a Purple Heart is nonsense. If anything, our warriors are consistently denied VA disability ratings for what are clearly service-connected ailments.

No matter how great of a CEO you are, there's no way you can optimize for 100 KPIs at once Pick the 1 or 2 that really matter and get the team committed to improving them

Many people are going to get to the end of their life striving for worldly desires, and realize it was all meaningless. Put your hope in Jesus. It will change your life.

The future belongs to those learning AI, and using it as a force multiplier to their current roles. In the last month I’ve been able to accomplish more in my new role as a COO than I could have before in 3-4 months. Learn AI now because you’re already behind.

Claude has been what I’ve wanted ChatGPT to be. Both have their place, but Claude is taking the quality of work to another level. It’s not even close anymore.

Claude Cowork is a game changer. ChatGPT felt like the future, but not it feels antiquated like Google.

You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks. It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheets—anything you'd do sitting at your desk. Research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, macOS only.

It happened today, and I knew this day would come eventually. I increased the font size on my MacBook. 😔

Claude’s capability creating documents, summarizing information, and putting together complex information into simple thoughts is far superior to ChatGPT. Claude is my new AI addiction.

Conversations with civilian (another example): Them: You served? Me: Yes, 21 years. Them: You a seal or ranger? Me: Nope. Infantry. Them: Oh (but sounding extremely disappointed) Long pause….. Them: My friends friend’s neighbor was a seal. He’s cool. Did you ever serve with seals? 🙄
