This 😂😂😂 I feel the pain
15 Nov 2022
I have been WRONGED by a corporation (lost a small amount of time and money through their incompetence/carelessness) and am feeling POINTLESS RAGE. (Complaining will do nothing, they absolutely don’t care.) Please, Twitter, tell me something delightful to distract me.
One thing I am appreciating in reading @SamLMontano 's book Disasterology 👉🏼 Her perspective is non-military and secular (and not NPO-culty). Female. If you know, you know.

Something about this floater is so disturbing
Coulomb’s law, mathematical description of the electric force between charged objects. Formulated by the 18th-century French physicist Charles-Augustin de Coulomb, it is analogous to Isaac Newton’s law of gravity…
My favorite scientists are of the feral variety

How to build a strong connection and community? Learn from mistakes. Welcome those opportunities to learn. Breakdown the power structure by empowering everyone. Step forward together. Reassess as many times as needed. Great thread!
I did something very scary today. Last week, I gave an exam that I felt was pretty straightforward. However, my students were very upset, as they felt that it was too difficult. I cancelled today's lecture and let the 220 students share their feelings in class. 🧵

I speak from experience: it is very difficult to get government jobs unless you know the tricks of the application platform (true for any job but add in bureaucracy for the sake of bureaucracy). #scijobs

This is new to me but makes a lot of sense!
Reason you definitely should NOT tape windows? They will still break just as easily, and if so it’ll be in larger, deadlier flying pieces. It’s a waste of time & money that if anything makes you less safe. #Ian #GoTapeless Ask experts at @FederalAlliance x.com/ukgirlinsf/status/1574…

LOVE - you will go far and be considered "tech savvy" at your job if you have these basics. I will add: knowing how to troubleshoot your video conference system. So simple, yet most people panic and have never thought to read into it (for five minutes!)
7 tech skills everyone should have, whatever field you work in: #1: Email setup #2: Basic Excel #3: Easy photo editing #4: Simple slide design #5: Sharing on GoogleDocs #6: Transferring large files online #7: Managing breakout rooms online What else?
