Take away all of those and the unitbuilding economy all of a sudden becomes really tight and actually tricky, but unfortunately it is a self imposed challenge so its not like I can evaluate the game's design quality like this

there are aromantic & asexual people who do engage in romantic/sexual relationships, but i dislike how allos as of late only put a focus on them to the point that every time the rest of us who lack attraction/interest in sex, etc. are represented, we're viewed as "stereotypes."

I think if people actually want a "return to form" with the fromsoft souls direction. Then the change you should want above all else isn't the bosses or the difficulty, it's an overhaul of the fast travel system or a change in how bonfires are handled within levels.
