Zuzanna from SupporteED Families and I met with Minister Butler today. We presented survey results, stories of people who have had difficulty accessing care, and talked about the care bottleneck because of weight bias and differing perspectives. It was a great opportunity! #edrecovery#edawareness#mentalhealth#irishpolitics@HSELive @MaryButlerTD @roinnslainte
A good news day- 2 new specialist ED teams for 2025, & hearing @DrMClifford at @NCP_ED webinar say the focus for 2025 is building momentum with existing teams, focus on increased adult inpatient beds, & transitions from Camhs to amhs @bodywhys@MindEverybody@MaryButlerTD#EDAW
Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to fill in the survey- we've received over 60 responses so far!
If you or someone you know would be willing to fill in the survey, please take the time to do so by Friday, the 24th of January. After that time, we'll compile a report with the results to send to the new government and to the media.
Please keep in mind that the survey may be triggering, and you may stop at any point without submitting. You and your mental health always come first!
If you have any questions or need any more information about the survey, please contact us at mindeverybody@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi guys! As everyone is aware, there is a new Irish government beginning soon. We are hoping a fresh start will mean fresh eyes and ears willing to improve eating disorder services across Ireland.
Some of the main issues we would like to see improved are more adult beds, better transparency and acceptance rates into inpatient facilities (no catchment restrictions), consistent funding, sufficient recruitment and training of staff, and sufficient outpatient supports, including outpatient / day services / transitional services, and access to therapy.
The more responses we obtain, the better statistics and information we can provide to politicians and the media about what is going right and what is going wrong with treatment.
Please keep in mind that the survey may be triggering, and you may stop at any point without submitting. You and your mental health always come first!
If you have any questions or need any more information about the survey, please contact us at mindeverybody@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for your help.

It was a great experience working with @AlanBradders and his team when contributing to this prog. Weโve always stressed that the family are crucial for recovery and need support. Excited to see our Pilar prog in action tonight ๐ซฃ@bodywhys

I got a gorgeous message this morning, โI cried tears of relief when you said Recovery is possible during the pillar programme. Thank you for that first ray of hope which gave me the strength to continue. .. On the tough days I reminded myself of your words.โ @MaryButlerTD
