There's a genuine phenomenon in Eastern Europe (and I imagine elsewhere ITW) where LGBT kids are more likely to be fluent in English than their straight peers, as they find community online in English speaking circles and learn the language through that.

This is what really confuses me about queen's character. In chapter 2 she treats coming to castle town as some sort of a solution to her problem. And in chapter 4, even if she's all sad because you haven't recruited anyone, she doesn't even think of just going back to her city??

The way that dark worlds work is so mind bending .Everything implies DWs only exist after formed by a lightner, & are built off them. & yet in every single DW, characters talk of events that happened LONG before the DWs creation . Events that the lightners had no connection to

It's almost like she believes that dark worlds stop existing completely once their fountain is closed, while most other darkners either think otherwise either just don't care, thus don't mind staying in their darkworlds and leaving castle town
