So ... production on Pandemonium continues. I did unfortunately found out some news that will result in some production delays.
I'm currently trying to shift things around so I can minimize the delays, but it will be a challenge.

In theory it should only delay the trailer and not the actual release if I do things right, but it's still stressful.
I already got 13 minutes of the project animated.

So I'm slowly recovering from the Whinny trip, I should be able to kick back production on Pandemonium slowly across the next few days.
I was caught by surprise by the hot weather, I'll have to avoid heavy renders for a while.

Looking at the driving timeline for the trip to and from Whinny City Pony Con.
According to the timeline I drove for five hours without stopping on the way there. I'm a bit shocked.

I hope it's not just a 1:1 of the original with fancier graphics. The original game was great, but there's clearly parts of the game that feel unfinished or uneven, perhaps they could add stuff in there and explore new ideas.

And after a 2880 km pony trip, I am safely back home.
I'm feeling sick ... I don't think I'm gonna attempt that kind of road trip again for a long while.

The trip was pretty brutal, I'm definitely not attempting a 14 hour drive in a single day again. I'm very grateful this thing comes with radar cruise control.
I somehow managed to hit 45MPG for this whole trip in a car rated for 37. This was somehow cheaper than flying.

Getting the free hotel breakfast before heading back home.
Just dropped off Dewie and Nevy at the airport, it always feels sad saying goodbye, and the rain on the way back from the hotel certainly didn't help it.

Pandemonium used no generative AI. All the placeholders were sketches I drew on a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) tablet.
I'm just one dude who really likes movies and ponies.
Any AI assets are used only as placeholders that are being replaced with manually created materials, says the Crazy Taxi: World Tour lead, Kenji Kanno, to Kotaku.
“We used it as a reference, so our artists would pull up [and] generate some of their ideas, and then they would look at that, you know, generated image, and then they would draw the actual thing. So actual creators, everything from programming to assets, everything is made by an actual human. It’s only used as a reference for them to look at, and then they would actually create the actual thing that would go into the game.”
SEGA is far from the first company to use AI for such purposes. While such publishers often face initial criticism, it seems that the tool is becoming the industry’s norm.
