NEWS: When asked by Klinger which Sonic game he'd remake if he could, Iizuka responded by saying that he'd want to be able to play every single Sonic game on modern platforms, and that if anything was possible and he "could magically do it," he'd want every single Sonic game available. #SonicNews
But the effort it would take to not just port, but remake an old Sonic game is the same it'd take for a brand new title, and he'd prefer to do new experiences. This is in line with his previous answers regarding a Sonic Adventure remake.

it is a shame @SEGA @SEGASAMMY_LUX gives into this aggressive and toxic fandom it seems to be represented by.
A woman they accepted recently was removed after men threatened her, wanting her to be murdered. others cried, kicked, and screamed. They justified their crusade because a woman held benign opinions that most people have.
She loves Sonic. But she was harassed by the people Sega would rather listen to, begging the question why this company hates women and why on earth they would listen to such hateful, deranged people. I would NEVER feel safe at a SEGA event or working with SEGA.

This story is one of the more entertaining origin stories in crypto culture because it starts with a politician criticizing crypto and accidentally creating a meme.
Act 1: Brad Sherman Invents a Coin
In December 2021, U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman was speaking during a congressional hearing about cryptocurrency. While arguing that crypto assets constantly compete with one another, he said something along the lines of:
“Bitcoin could be displaced by Ether, which could be displaced by Dogecoin, which could be displaced by HamsterCoin, CobraCoin, or MongooseCoin.”
