Today marks 26 days since Khadija Baloch, a nursing student, was forcibly disappeared from her hostel and placed under illegal detention. Her disappearance is not an isolated incident. It is part of a systematic campaign of intimidation and collective punishment carried out against the Baloch nation. The continued silence of the authorities reflects a deeply rooted culture of impunity where state violence is protected instead of prosecuted. The targeting of Baloch women and students exposes the brutality of policies imposed in Balochistan. Educational institutions and hostels should be places of safety, yet even these spaces have become unsafe under the shadow of enforced disappearances.
