I know there can be a divide between SLT & teachers but I am honestly blessed this isn’t the case in my school. They see ME. And when I am being overly emotional, help. When I disagree, support and navigate. When I say no, respect. When I just say help… They say how & we will.
For anyone who needs to hear it:
- yes, it is always like this at the beginning of term
- yes, that tension headache will go away eventually
- yes, you will get back into a routine
- yes, you do know what you’re doing

If young men want a proper inspirational man to look up to instead of that hate filled freak they should watch both series of Freddie Flintoffs Field of Dreams. Such a beautiful and empathetic human.♥️
Quite a lot of advice floating around for new teachers about behaviour management. My piece of advice I always give is simply to be as predictable as you possibly can. Let very little you do or say take children off guard. Predictability = routine = safety = trust.
As schools across England break up for the summer holiday, there is no better time to say THANK YOU to all the incredible teachers who've supported our children throughout this academic year.

What a lovely afternoon at @FoleyPAcademy. It’s a delight to watch children from 3 different schools across the trust work together and uphold the trust values. @VicAcademies
1) Alice spent #internationalwomensday singing with children at @DevonshireInf in Smethwick. We loved hearing how the story and the music impacted them - one staff member told us that a boy with SEN who never sits longer than a moment, sat calmly through the whole performance.
