Govt's current projection is that by 2027 just 6% of England's river will be in 'Good' ecological condition, down from the current 14%*.
Might that give you reason to try and fudge the results?
*The original objective was that by 2015 100% of rivers would achieve 'Good' status.

Macquarie owned @thameswater from 2006 - 17 by the time they finished with it they had taken ยฃ2.7bn in dividends out of the company ยฃ2.2bn in loans left it ยฃ10,8bn in debt and a pension fund deficit of ยฃ380mn.

Wow that ยฃ63 million quid could buy 2,077 one million litre surface storage tanks at just under ยฃ30k each. Good chance of substantial discounts for that amount. There is no need to dump shit in the sea, or rivers. A small amount of "dividend" would stop the pollution.

Good old @SouthWestWater always dependable, always reliable, always crap.
Highest water bills in England, customers living under a hosepipe ban since last August and this morning dumping sewage into huge swaths of if not most of Cornwall and Devon. Ho hum.
