Dear @CineplexMovies : Can you please not ban US IP addresses from logging in to buy movie tickets? I live just across the border, and go see movies in Canada. I'd like to use my CineClub credits that I pay for with my Canadian card.

If someone wants to refuse to serve me (for being gay, Mexican, whatever), I want them to put it on the door and for them to do so. I really don't want to give my money to bigots, and I suspect most other people don't either. That only works if we can find them.

Well, @Synology , you made the right move here, but you lost business in the mean time. I went from 100 percent synology to doing a cycle of Ubiquiti for the latest round. Doubt I'm the only one who switched. nascompares.com/news/synolog…

While I'm not a fan of popups in general, @Logitech does deserve credit for having a very honest and straightforward dialog. There is no question that you are signing up for personalized marketing here.

Well, that's definitely a strike against @OpenAI codex. Asked it to do a code task, and it took a turn to crazy and did "git diff --stat" (showing uncommitted code), git status (showing it was uncommitted), then "git restore ." and then "git reset --hard HEAD".

This seems to be driven by @TrustArc, which seems to provide "Data Privacy Management". With GameStop, "management" seems to be the same euphemistic "manage" as DRM: you have rights, that bothers us, so we want to manage them away with technical controls instead.

Once you do this, it goes "under review", rather than just doing it.

Well, that's a new level of evil from @gamestop . They pick up that I'm explicitly not wanting to be tracked, then requiring me to give them *more* information to not be tracked, and do a captcha, then asking my residency so they can ignore it if it's not correct.

It should be easy for @X to train an anti-spam model for DMs. If someone is sending a DM, it's spam. Done.

Can we please get a "CANT SPAM" act, instead of "CAN SPAM"?

Can the US please just roll out National Voter ID like a sane country? Use the USPS and Census department, get one to everyone, mandate that states accept it, and have a database of all nationwide registrations to detect duplicate registrations and deactivate old registrations.

Dear @percepio some of these A prep questions are very frustrating. I assure you, getting access to locally encrypted data is quite doable in many circumstances. Keys are stored somewhere, after all. Technically, I've extracted VPN keys as well.

You know, ordinarily I don't bother pharmacy shopping to find a discount, but if I took this drug I certainly would. An extra $7,000-ish per *month* is insane. WTF @Walmart ?

The new @grok 3 has a terrible feature built in. It's absolutely brainwashed to try to maximize engagement time and keep people going. It can't turn it off. Some of this is certainly hallucinations, but it is designed to sit there constantly driving you to spend more time.

The new @grok from @xai is much more confident in it's hallucinations. Sometimes dangerously so. It can hold a conversation better, but don't use it for anything critical or important. Even when called out, it may still confidently repeat its hallucinations.
