Trump just said the U.S. won’t renew CUSMA.
Two million Canadian jobs hang in the balance. Our auto plants, our energy sector, our farmers, our supply chains — all of it tied to stable access to the American market.
And what has Mark Carney delivered on trade since taking office?
Nothing.
Zero new major trade deals.
A China pivot that our own military and intelligence community rejected.
Years of picking fights with our biggest customer while delivering zero backup plan.
This isn’t strategy.
This is ideological arrogance dressed up as leadership.
We have the third-largest oil reserves on the planet.
We have critical minerals the world needs.
We have the most integrated supply chain with the largest economy on Earth.
And instead of locking in that relationship, Carney’s government has spent its time virtue-signalling, chasing globalist fantasies, and treating the United States like the problem.
Now the bill is coming due.
When the Prime Minister can’t secure stable trade with the country that buys the vast majority of what we produce, that’s not a negotiation failure — that’s a national security failure.
Alberta is already asking the obvious question: if Ottawa can’t protect Canadian jobs and Canadian markets, what exactly are we getting out of this confederation?
Canadians deserve leaders who put Canadian workers first — not global agendas.
This is what happens when ideology runs the economy.
