Are @ChtyCommission concerned about an emerging gap between public perception of HAs as charitable & actions that aren't in shared owners' best interests? Risk of breach of fiduciary duties? Does exempt status relieve HAs from such duties to shared owners? Any reputational risk?
If HAs are genuinely charitable entities providing affordable housing to 1st-time buyers, why would they sell off "#SharedOwnership portfolios" for institutional investors to generate profits from taxpayer subsidised homes? @RSHEngland @Savills @mhclg sharedownershipresources.org…

HAs could do more to support shared owners. Arguing they shouldn't generate gains from subletting #SharedOwnership is misplaced when shared owners face crippling bills for waking watch, insurance & fire safety remediation. @G15London @natfednews @Jamrat_ bit.ly/34ks9cE

These are the sort of bills that many #leaseholders are getting for #BuildingSafetyCrisis @twocitiesnickie 👇 £78k to be paid within 1 month If you don't pay, you loose your home. Quickly. That's the long & short of it Please consider things carefully before you vote on Monday
The McPartland/Smith amendment to the #FireSafetyBill will return to the Commons on Monday. Before MPs vote I simply ask them this. Please imagine how you would feel if this bill dropped through your letter box. #EndOurCladdingScandal @EOCS_Official @ukcag

Apparently fixing anything not within the cladding system itself is an “opt-in” now says @team_greenhalgh. Perhaps @team_greenhalgh can write to your freeholder and managing agent supporting leaseholders’ opt out where you are? Same to your EWS1 assessor and mortgage lender.
