This Imran is a bastard. He had precipitated a communal riot in Naliakhali, near Canning, Distt South 24-Parganas, in which many Hindu houses and poultry farms were burnt. Many Hindus were robbed of their means of livelihoods. I HAD MYSELF VISITED THE PLACE AFTER THE CARNAGE.

Ahmed Hassan Imran, a former journalist and a founding member of the West Bengal chapter of SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India), was sent to Rajya Sabha by Mamata Banerjee in 2014.
He served as a Trinamool Congress member of the Rajya Sabha from 2014 to 2020.
This was brought out by rebel MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar

If PM @narendramodi Ji's 12 years were only about "event management," why did the people of India elect him three consecutive times?
You speak of history, but let's talk about facts.
Pandit Nehru became Prime Minister before India conducted its first General Election in 1951-52. PM Modi's tenure, on the other hand, is entirely based on democratic mandates received directly from the people of India in 2014, 2019, and 2024. That is why PM Modi is rightly recognized as India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister.
You invoke Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's name today, but it was the Congress Party that fielded candidates against Babasaheb twice and played a role in his electoral defeats. You invoke Sardar Patel today, yet history records that he enjoyed overwhelming support within the Congress organization before Independence.
As for the last 12 years:
✅ Article 370 was abrogated
✅ Ram Mandir became a reality
✅ India became the world's 5th largest economy
✅ UPI transformed digital payments globally
✅ Crores of poor families received homes, toilets, gas connections, healthcare, and free ration
✅ India's global standing has reached new heights
The people of India are not electing Narendra Modi Ji because of manufactured narratives. They are electing him because of visible results.
In a democracy, the ultimate verdict belongs to the people, and they have delivered that verdict in favour of Narendra Modi Ji three times in a row.

भारत के सबसे लंबे समय तक सेवा देने वाले प्रधानमंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू थे। सबसे लंबे समय तक लगातार प्रधानमंत्री रहने वाले भी वही थे। श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी दूसरे सबसे लंबे कार्यकाल वाली प्रधानमंत्री रहीं। अब भाजपा को यह साबित करने के लिए नया और हास्यास्पद वर्ग बनाना पड़ रहा है कि “स्वतंत्र भारत के आम चुनावों के बाद सबसे लंबे समय तक लगातार प्रधानमंत्री” कौन है!

The U.S. Navy has attacked several ships in recent days, in which three Indian seafarers lost their lives.
The United States is now acting with excessive arrogance and authoritarianism. Indian sailors are being targeted.
Indian crew members make up the largest share of people working on international commercial ships and oil tankers around the world. Nearly 20% of the global seafaring workforce is Indian, with their numbers exceeding 320,000. U.S. shipping companies also have a significant number of Indian crew members.
The time has come for Indian seafarers, who have become the backbone of the global commercial shipping industry, to unite, form a union, and stand up for their safety and rights.
If these 320,000 Indian sailors were to go on strike, global supply chains - including those of the United States - would be severely disrupted. Even powerful countries like the United States would face serious consequences, as America is the world's largest import market.
If Indian seafarers decide to assert their collective strength, the United States could be forced to its knees.
The 320,000 sailors who keep the world's commercial ships moving now need to unite and stand together.

Chief Ministers have come and gone, but in all my years I have never witnessed this kind of pent-up rage as is now directed at Mamata Banerjee and her nephew.
What they ran was a grotesque hybrid of mafia and gulag.
And the greater shame? The complicity of the media, the educated class, and the so-called elite. They enabled it. They rationalised it. They helped crush dissent.
The vulnerable were extorted. Political opponents, especially those who supported the BJP were hounded, brutalised, and silenced through unspeakable acts. It is unforgivable.
What we are seeing today: eggs thrown, heads tonsured, white sarees draped in chilling symbolism is still a fraction of what Bengal endured.
And yet, the old Indian instinct will be to ‘move on.’
That instinct has cost us dearly before. History is witness: suppressed anger does not dissipate, it ferments.
There must be, there should be consequences.
By law, first and foremost.
But ‘moving on’ is certainly not an option.
