Is Down Syndrome disappearing in Ireland? My @AontuIE Louth colleague @ModowdMichael spoke movingly on the issue on this weeks @TheHardShoulder with @kierancuddihy. Here’s a snip from today @Independent_ie I’ll link the radio segment on next tweet.

Paul Reid resigns to spend more time with his family but somehow gets a job as an advisor with EY. The very same EY that earned nearly €18m in health service fees during the Covid pandemic. Nothing to see here folks. The best solution? 🗳Aontú irishexaminer.com/news/arid-…

Great motion here from Ógra Aontú seeking the establishment of a separate Dept. of Disabilities with a dedicated minister. Standalone status warranted to give it & the people who need to access supports the proper recognition & status #AontúArdFheis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Mullins. An absolute colossus in St Vincents. There’s so much to say about the man, and we’re all still processing this. We’ll honour him in the coming days. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

This is shocking. An elected rep physically attacked for standing up for Human Rights has no place in Irish society.
Last night, #Derry #Aontú councillor, @EmmetDoyleDerry was verbally abused by one of a group of pro-abortion activists in a local shop. Once outside the premises, he was physically attacked by one of them. He has reported this to police.
