Gamers and anime fans are two groups you don't fuck with, they're fiercely passionate and unrelenting. Their phone lines were made forfeit and subjected to jihad upon war being declared against us. No matter how many Karens they throw at us we'll rise without hesitation, becoming the one they fear most: Xx_KarenCunnyRapist_xX.
I guess, Visa employees are breaking down at the seams with the endless tide of calls? If Visa frontline call centre employees need to blame someone, blame their bosses for making their lives miserable. Also, yeah, calling callers 🍇pists, oh that’ll work well for them…

Here's what's probably going to happen: 1. Multiple countries other than the UK will demand age verification to access "adult content" 2. VPN usage will spike 3. Those countries will then outlaw VPNs claiming they are doing so "to protect the children and fight terrorism" 4. They will then create voluntary uniform and centralized online IDs to make age verification easier 5. Then the IDs will become required and the government will run AI on all of your internet activity which they can link to you personally 6. Eventually this data will be made available to private companies who will use it to judge your credit worthiness, the prices you pay, etc. 7. Then, the government will begin using the data to "proactively fight crime" Decentralization of money and infrastructure matters if you value privacy and freedom.

For years, the Adam Smith Institute has called out how terrible the Online Safety Act is. With Peter Kyle’s shortsighted comments today, we think the government should go further and REPEAL the Online Safety Act. Why? It does not keep children safe, and endangers everyone online. 👇

A useful thread.

🧵Contact Links & Info to help you fight against payment processor censorship. People who champion censorship will NEVER stop at their announced motives. Once censorship is accepted, the goalpost is always moved again and again. It will move until your entire life is sanitized. Fight back against the payment processors. Phone calls, emails, letters. Contact your representatives. "First, they came for the plumbers" is always true. There is always a slippery slope, don't allow anyone to gaslight you otherwise. They've already begun pulling horror games... Think they're done? No. Below are several links to help you fight against this. Feel free to provide me with more helpful info and I will continue to add to this thread!

You can't even use a search engine in the UK now. This is getting nuts.
Bing now enforces SafeSearch for all UK users, even those with verified 18 Microsoft accounts, with no way to turn it off if you don’t use a VPN Likely due to stricter regulations. Google hasn’t followed yet but may soon.

Says it all, really. Genuinely tempted to abandon any and all creative/personal endeavours and join the fight, because what the fuck is left to do? I'm not spending the last 40-50 years this planet has left existing under totalitarian authoritarianism. I'll die first.

I love how all pieces of technology made today is designed to spy and monitor you. >Go online -> Dox yourself. >Forced to go to windows 11 -> Constant screen shot of your screen >Buy an AAA game -> Make an online only account chat monitored. Ubisoft reports you to the cops for hate speech. >Social media -> A.I monitors everything you upload, scrapes for everything you post. >Buy a playstation -> A.I monitors every conversation you make listens for hate speech. >Ring camera -> Cops can demand access to the footage. >Cashless societies -> Payment processors and banks control every single transaction. Wait until robot buttler becomes a thing.

x.com/Pirat_Nation/status/19… This has to be the most painfull and difficult "I told you so" I ever said. For the last year I constantly defended porn from outright ban because I explained how this exact thing will happen. This came at great reputational damage to myself, I've been accused of being a "gooner" or "cumbrained" and other insults. Turns out I was right. It was never about porn. It was about controling the narative, controling the search results people see, preventing people from accessing information regarding recent events like illegal migration or protests. The purpose was allways to get adults to dox themselves, to self-censor and to be afraid of speaking out against the establishment. This is why I had, have and always will have a deep seething disdain towards moral busy bodies and karens. People who are not related to you by blood, are not your friends, but lecture you because "they know better". By allowing the moral busy boddies to shame you into submission, weather they were left wing or right wing moral enforcers, you have allways allowed the politicians to make it more difficult for you to access the internet and organizie any type of dissent.

Labour are looking to ban VPNs to prevent people bypassing their censorship laws. Look at the countries the UK would be joining.

If you’re under 18 - or don’t want to give a random company online your credit card or a scan of your face - the British government blocks you from reading this tweet. The Online Censorship Act is obscene.

and the day goes on.
Let me summarize everything that's happened in the last week >Collective Shout contacts payment processors to get Steam and Itch io to remove adult games >Steam removes 100s of games and creates a entirely new policy to lick the boots of Payment Processers >Day later Itch io removes their entire Adult Game category >UK "Online Safety Act" comes into effect restricting the internet for the entire country to "Protect Children" >Within 24 hours UK creates a Police Task-force to monitor political opinions of its citizens >Europe gets hit by "Age Restriction" in some sites too and they find out the "Restricted Internet" is coming for them too >People find out American bill titled "Kids Online Safety Act" is introduced into Congress to do the same thing >Wikipedia is being asked to censor itself for the UK >Search Engines are now stuck in safemode for certain countries restricting internet >Mouthwashing a horror game on Itch io is removed thanks to Payment Processors and Collective Shout >UK is trying to force American companies to censor themselves after the "Online Safety Act" came into effect
