"OMG, some wolves are fighting in the woods! We'd better euthanize the entire pack." Maybe they should pave the entire island, they don't seem up to having any wilderness.

I am an earnestly believer in the stewardship of mankind over animals. Certainly not vegan. Still this kind of treatment is ethically abominable and we will be ashamed of it.

Anyways, I’m probably gonna nuke the rest of this, because if this conversation has taught me anything - twitter users will not actually read what you say if you mention anything vaguely related to anything anyone else said to piss them off previously.

I was using ChatGPT for legal advice and it decided to completely hallucinate some preposterous nonsense about how growing wheat to use on my own farm somehow constitutes interstate commerce

I don't love a lot of Fallout 3's writing and worldbuilding, but I will always appreciate that they have a moment honouring Sara Teasdale's beautifully sad poem "There Will Come Soft rains". This of course played a big role in inspiring Ray Bradbury's fantastic short story of the same name (I won't spoil it, just read it) and of course the incredible Soviet Era animation from 1984 (Будет Ласковый Доджь by Nazim Tulyahodzhaev). It's a really classy moment in the game, and I wish they had leaned more into literature and real world explorations of the impact of Nuclear Holocaust. Because all these years later, it's this stuff I still remember.

What it’s all about.
"I always.. I always wanted to know what was beyond those mountains. Beyond here." "THERE'S NOTHING, YOU DERANGED IDIOT! THINK OF WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND IF YOU DO THIS!" "And stay idle? Ha ha! No, idle doesn't suit me at all. I can't just wait to die, now can I...?" "YOU'LL DIE ANYWAY. YOU'LL DIE A POINTLESS DEATH, THE END OF AN ALREADY POINTLESS LIFE." "Life is pointless, yes. But it's ours to give meaning. Such a beautiful view... How the colony looks so small from this distance." "STOOOPP!! YOU'RE MARCHING INTO OBLIVION!! YOU'LL DIE! YOU'LL DIE, YOU HEAR ME!!" "Then I lived! Ha ha ha ha! Aaah... My chest burns, my feet grow weary. I think.. I think this is far enough. I think this is a good spot to rest. Such a beautiful view..." 🐧✨
