Moirlanich Longhouse, near Killin, visited during VAG Spring Conference. Lovely example of a cruck-framed cottage with byre, with 'hingin lum' (hanging chimney) and box beds. National Trust for Scotland - well worth a visit!

The Bennie Railplane was a form of rail transport invented in Scotland by George Bennie that moved along an overhead rail using propellers. The prototype was completed in 1929 and believed to be capable of speeds up to 193kmh. However, lack of financial backing ended the project.

Here is the Kylesku Bridge, one of the many landmarks on #Scotland's North Coast 500. The curved concrete box girder bridge was designed by Ove Arup and built by Morrison and Lehane, Mackenzie & Shand.
It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth on 8th August 1984!
