Some moments help bring us back to focus. As a first year AP, there have been times that I've never lost focus, but felt challenged in finding the good. Today is a perfect example of the who & why. Nothing like a beautiful field day! Each day, I am proud to be a Timberwolf 🐺

Optimism is a mindset, but it’s also a habit. It doesn’t mean not thinking that things can go wrong. It also doesn’t mean up pairing for the worst case scenario. It just requires that you imagine possibility and potential alongside everything else. Imagine more today.🤍

In a world that sometimes confuses loud with strong with effective, kindness can feel like a risk. Kindness isn’t weakness. It’s discipline. It’s choosing patience when it would be easier to react. It’s choosing people even when the work is hard. So don’t second guess it. The way you lead matters, and kindness is never the wrong choice.

If you really think about it, so many of the biggest moments in our lives trace back to a person. Someone who shared advice, made an introduction, took a chance on us, or simply believed in us. The people you meet today might be part of the life you’re building tomorrow. Not because of luck, but because people expand your world. They introduce you to new ideas, new opportunities, and sometimes a new version of yourself you didn’t see coming. So say yes to the conversation. You never know which connection is about to shift everything.

EVERY KID DESERVES TO BE CELEBRATED. We ask our teachers to find the kids who don’t always get the attention…so why wouldn’t we take on the same mindset with the adults in the building? Find the adults who don’t always feel seen. EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY’S KID. #LeadFromWhoYouAre

We hear a lot about “culture” in schools. But how do leaders actually construct it? From my experience as a headteacher, senior leader & governor: If you don’t design it, construct it and relentlessly maintain it, it will drift to toxicity . It all starts at the top 👇 🧵

If you work in education, you’ve lived this. There are moments when you don’t fully agree with a decision. A policy. A direction. And still, you carry it out. So when you disagree ask: ✨Am I challenging the work? ✨Or am I challenging the person? One builds the organization. The other quietly tears it down. We don’t have to agree on everything. But we do have to protect how we show up with each other while we figure it out.

Life doesn’t restart all at once after break. It slowly warms back up. We return rested, but not immediately ready in every way, and that’s okay. This transition can feel hard, even when we love the work. Be patient with yourself and with each other. The rhythm will return…one meeting, one email, one deep breath at a time🤍

We talk a lot about brand in leadership, but the truth is, our real brand isn’t a logo or a tagline. It’s the energy we bring into the room, the tone we set, and how people feel after they’ve interacted with us. Your smile signals approachability. Your personality tells your story. Your trademark is how you make people feel. So today, remember that your everyday interactions are shaping your legacy, one impression at a time.🤍
