🚨Op NON-STOP milestone🚨
The 60th participant has been recruited to OpNONSTOP.org 🥳
A huge thank you to all the children, families, clinicians and researchers involved so far! We can’t do this without you 🙏
Another step closer 💪
#Perthes#Research
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are the latest site trained to deliver the Op NON-STOP study 💪
Great engagement from the team, and a garden in the therapy space was amazing! 👏 ☀️

This week we talked SCIENCE in our ortho department’s journal rounds!!
Our PGY2 resident summarized the findings in the RCT in pediatric medial epicondyle fractures led by @MrDanPerry and published recently in @TheLancet.

🚨Great news for children! 🚨
In 2012 we knew we could treat significant forearm fractures in children without surgery

It's only taken another 14 years to demonstrate this in a RCT...

Well done @MrDanPerry and team!
A 5-year-old boy falls off a climbing frame and lands on his wrist.
Should you reduce the fracture - or simply put it in a nice cast and let it remodel?
Until now, people might have had strong views about this, but no-one really knew. 👇
Huge credit to the patients, families, and teams who made the CRAFFTstudy.org possible.
Trials like this are hard to do but this is what it takes to move practice forward. 👏
The CRAFFT study is out....BOOOM!
Check out CRAFFTstudy.org to read all about it.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible - children, parents , research nurses, physiotherapists, the fab trials team and my colleagues - the ED doctors and surgeons. 🙏
The CRAFFTstudy.org results coming Wednesday 8th April at 11.40am UK time.
Simultaneous presentation at the @eposorg meeting (finishing at 12.40 in Seville) and publication in @TheLancet .
The work of a huge group of people in the UK 🙏.
