Learning about the Southern Colonies and using this helpful graphic organizer @studiesweekly as a springboard to writing Reader’s Theater scripts! Then Ss recorded a podcast using @Flipgrid “Mic only” option. (Slide credit:C. Millat/A. Swartz) flipgrid.com/s/HsMhmuhyTs2MM…
I told my students about this post, and many of them used the Curve tool for the first time as well as other shapes, to invent a new holiday candy. We are learning a lot from @shapegrams!
"Would you rather..." questions are a great opportunity to teach quick tech tips, like "drop shadow". (Thanks to the teacher who shared their "Would You Rather-Winter Edition" slide deck on Facebook. #ilove5thgrade
Ss participated in a mystery box challenge in order to understand how scientists and engineers develop models and use them as "thinking tools". @FOSSscience
I started to clean up my desktop and stumbled upon this treasure of my class during our @spheroedu World Series last October. This video is the epitome of my class - so full of life! #ilove5thgrade#studentcentered#letthemlead#5Cs
I am using #jamboard for Compliments for Classmates as a fun student keepsake. Students will each make a copy of master with all class names and save file in shared folder. Classmates will write compliments for 5 classmates a day over the next 2 weeks. #SEL#5thgradememories
And because I am obsessed with @SlidesManiaSM, I used their really cool Choice Board template as the Compliments Hub in place of the word doc I originally created. Students can add their own hyperlinks. I could also make a copy and use it to link their digital portfolios.
I used another cute template by @SlidesManiaSM for a fun activity. We are reading Ungifted by Gordon Kormon, and the students created a robot. I used my @Bitmoji to write comments in their slides. slidesmania.com/scrapbook-fr…
