Distance learning has been tough. For me as a teacher, for my students, for my student’s families, it’s been a huge change that we’re all slowly adjusting to. I’ve had to learn to quiet my mind & focus on things that matter that are within my control.1/2 #HI4PublicEd #808Educate

It’s been difficult because there is SO MUCH MORE planning time required bc most of my previously planned lessons aren’t DL friendly. Doing my best to take a breath, step back, & tap into my fellow T’s for help. It’s what has saved me so far. Remember to be kind to yourself. 2/2

Well both, sorta. I mean definitely the second. They very selectively and inappropriately cited those studies. A review of evidence that concludes that school decisions should be made cautiously and using best available evidence shouldn't be summarized as a stat about PTSD.

The last 5 weeks are a blur! 100% #distancelearning summer school 😅 teaching #marinebiology to soon to be 7th graders a part of the #PUEOprogram @PunahouSchool. Big parts of our class were virtual field trips & guest speakers! So happy our Ss still enjoyed their experience!
