Students @MortonWayPS are asking lots of Q's about our Tower Gardens. The Eco Club is helping to take care of them and plan for our outdoor community garden. #SDG #GlobalGoals #PeelEML

Addressing diversity without challenging white supremacy is a neoliberal feel good project. Do not get comfortable in self-serving uncritical diversity discourse & projects. The question must be asked: Structurally what will change?

Students who are not celebrating today, can share about their family and cultural celebrations & traditions. Here is a link to support our collective rethinking around cultural appropriation (shared previously in another tweet): docs.google.com/presentation…

Can we just give ourselves permission to center what students need and decenter the curriculum? Don't let anxiety of evaluating/reporting dictate instructional practice.Amplify/embed student voice in learning spaces/experiences. Focus on the processes, not specific expectations.

As educators we must ensure we work towards integrating and embedding these elements within instructional and school-wide practices. This is ongoing work that requires consistency and persistence.👇🏽
