A child needs positive emotions in order to explore more challenging emotions and emotional situations. A child’s positive emotions “fill the tank” with energy to manage ups and downs.

I learned that the MOE once gave funding for literacy intervention. They stopped & it became difficult to find room in the budget for it. I love RR & know it works. Now would be the time to bring it back, especially considering this cohort of grade 1s only know covid schooling.

We cannot let up on ensuring math learning experiences come September are rooted in anti-oppression & allow students to dig deeper into social issues, even as the gov’t actively works to erase this.

1. Why I try to get my books from @chaptersindigo instead of amzn. 2. I love how the whole community is rallied around the cause of growing readers. Literacy is a life skill.
