Hypersialylation = an excess of sugars on cell surfaces, helping #cancer & #autoimmune cells evade the immune system by allowing them to go undetected. It’s a key target in glyco-immunology and at the heart of our work at Palleon. Learn more: bit.ly/3DUGdvt#glycotime

ALT A study led by Jennifer Munkley showing FUT8 is a critical driver of prostate tumour growth. Researchers at @NU_Cancer report in @CancerMedicineJ that FUT8 promotes tumour growth and can be blocked by fucosylation inhibitors, revealing a key therapy target.

94% of GPs would support launch of a national prostate cancer screening programme for high-risk men.
As the National Screening Committee reviews prostate cancer screening policy, GPs across the UK were asked for their opinions on the reforms under consideration. The survey results showed overwhelming support for the introduction of a national screening programme targeted at high-risk groups.

The time for change is now. Let’s do this together.
💙 “As someone who was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer at 60, having been asymptomatic until a runners’ groin strain 3 months prior to my diagnosis, I was devastated to then find out that I’d had a right to a PSA blood test from age 50 but didn’t know about it. A screening test from age 50 may well have led to my earlier diagnosis with a significantly better outcome, so I’m 100% behind this campaign to have a screening programme for at-risk men.”
Tony’s story shows how earlier access to PSA testing could save lives. A national screening programme for prostate cancer is long overdue, and together, we can make it happen.
📢 Let’s stand with Tony and demand change:

💙 Prostate cancer doesn’t just affect men—it impacts families, friends, and entire communities. At every stage of the journey, support groups play a vital role in providing emotional, practical, and peer support.
For many men, especially in the early stages of diagnosis, @TackleProstate's support groups are a lifeline—offering guidance, connection, and reassurance during what can be a confusing and overwhelming time.
Screening can save lives, and for men in these groups, early detection means more time with loved ones and the peace of mind that comes with catching cancer early.
📢 Join us and Tackle Prostate Cancer in calling for a national screening programme that ensures early detection is accessible to everyone. Together, we can make a difference and be #ProactiveForYourProstate.
