Damit verschiebt sich aber die Baseline von Generation zu Generation, und viel Information geht verloren… der tatsächliche Verlust an Vielfalt ist viel dramatischer als wir ihn wahrnehmen.

This is the Eight Circled Cross page from the Book of Kells. The level of detail is absolutely insane; I made a replica of this a couple of years ago, and even scaling it up to twice the size, there were still sections I had to simplify because the detail was just too fine.
