Vertical Jump Height & Club Head Speed 🦵🏽 🏌️♂️
Relevance to golf is explosive force in the legs - NOT how high a player can jump.
Unless accounting for body mass, jump height is not a particularly relevant measure of comparing different players to benchmark.
More mass requires more force for the same height.
When Bryson gained 50 lbs and 18mph club head speed do you think his jump height went up or down? You can be sure it went down, a lot! This doesn’t mean his lower body explosiveness went down. He was just much heavier!
The simple fix is using jump impulse, which takes body mass into account.
@MyJumpLab makes it simple to do this.
