Annual packages for medical Interns as per the different countries in the EAC. 1: Kenya ~ 59- 68M UGX Annually 2: Rwanda~ 24 - 48M UGX Annually 3: Tanzania ~ 18-36M UGX Annually 4: Uganda~ 12M Annually and with the new policy it will be 0 shillings It’s either our very leaders are delusional or simply lack political will to do the needful! Anyway what to do when those with ideas have no power and those with power are completely green! About what to do! What a paradox! But don’t forget fate is a double crosser!!!!!!! If you can allocate over 10Bn Ugx for some company to teach Ugandans how to drink coffee! And you can’t appropriate money for a group that is centrally the engine of our healthcare system! Mukisusa! @MinofHealthUG @TheUMAofficial @MirembeDr @TweetsbyHenry

Imagine catching ebola and dying while working for free as a junior doctor. Can we at least exempt them from risking their lives when we have things like ebola around? I'm sure the ministry people will gladly take up the role.

The American Doctor was in the DRC which is the country west of Uganda. He did not treat any ebola patients in Uganda. There is currently no outbreak on Ugandan territory. Please make this clarification.

Visited the farm in the 10th agribusiness tour organised by @unyfa1 and I learned a lot.
Dairy farming at sight farm shows that profitable farming comes down to good practices-proper feeding, hygiene, and management. With the right knowledge and consistency, dairy can be a steady daily income for farmers.

There are problems money cannot negotiate with. When life brings you those moments, you discover what true wealth is, - genuine friendships. The people who stand beside you when there is nothing to gain are worth their weight in gold.

When you're still young and/or burdened by children or are retarded this will never make sense, but this is an innate part of being human, the urge to relocate somewhere quiet and be creative and make things happen, this is how I ended up in agriculture. You grow up wondering why village people have no ambition, you move off to the city only to realize you left the dream in the village, but it's part of your curve, you had to leave to find out, so many aspects of our life are like this, unfortunately everyone had to find out on their own, can never be taught.
My boy has quit his 400k pm gig to become a carpenter Background . He has a girlfriend In his early 30s He says he wants to be creative

Treat coffee like a pregnant woman! It takes 9-11 months for Robusta coffee to reach harvest after flowering. Massive flowering without proper care won't help. Timely weeding, removing suckers, proper nutrition, irrigation, fighting pests & diseases are crucial. 1/2

One of the telling things about our society at our functions is how we behave around food: 1. People loading more food on their plates than they can finish, and without feeling ashamed of the heaps on their plates 2. The fact that people have to be served, because they don’t know how to share limited resources 3. When given a chance for self service, people serving themselves without any regard to those behind them that might not get. Five pieces of chicken are left in the dish, and someone serves himself three of them (with 20 people behind him) 4. People eating more than they need, just because there is free food 5. People acting impatient as if they would die if they took 10 more minutes before their turn to serve (okulookalooka/ okululunkana) 6. Serving the second time (double) before others get anything, and pretending not to have eaten at all 7. Packing food to take home when some people present haven’t got 8. Catering service providers hiding food. While these habits might seem isolated and only related to food, they ALL vividly manifest themselves when we are in charge of any resources that have to be shared. Think about it. Our biggest problems as a country are around GREED, SELFISHNESS, DISHONESTY, and lack of a sense of SHAME

Coffee is more than just a crop in Uganda it is the heartbeat of rural livelihoods Across the country, millions of smallholder farmers depend on coffee as their primary source of income. From school fees to medical care, from daily meals to community development, coffee sustains families and builds futures. Uganda remains one of Africa’s leading coffee producers, yet most of our farmers still earn less than they deserve. Why? Limited value addition, price fluctuations, and weak market linkages. It’s time to change the story. By investing in better farming practices, agroecology, irrigation, and post-harvest handling, farmers can increase both yield and quality. More importantly, value addition roasting, branding, and packaging right here in Uganda can multiply incomes and create jobs for youth. Imagine a Uganda where every cup of coffee consumed globally directly uplifts a rural household. That future is possible if we support farmers with knowledge, fair markets, and access to finance. Let’s not just grow coffee. Let’s grow wealth, dignity, and opportunity for our rural communities. #Coffee #Uganda #Agriculture #Farmers #ValueAddition #Agroecology #RuralDevelopment

Tourism Guru @wekesa_amos fears that if parliament passes the Protection of Sovereignty bill in it's current form, the tourism sector will be most hit. "There are international hotels and businesses seeking to set up shop in Uganda. What do you think they are thinking now? The Sovereignty bill will kill international trade" he adds.
