Under the IJWI Project, @NARwanda coordinator in Musanze district @thierry_ntare led the Community Feedback Session through citizen assembly hel in Kabirizi Cell, @SectorGacaca , in which citizens actively participated in identifying governance and service delivery priorities.

Never Again Rwanda Community members gathered for the Youth Quarterly Meeting to reflect,learn and exchange ideas on peacebuilding,unity and role of youth in preventing genocide ideology and denial,strengthening our shared commitment to remembrance and positive community change

We convened a powerful dialogue on combating genocide denial, ideology & hate speech. From schools to social media, youth reflected on how denial shows up, and their role in challenging it. Key takeaway: Denial isn’t always loud. It can hide in jokes, silence, or distortion. And if left unchecked, it risks normalizing falsehoods, weakening remembrance, and prolonging trauma. Through open debate, shared experiences, and critical reflection, students & alumni committed to questioning narratives, speaking up, and promoting truth in their communities. At Rebero Genocide Memorial on April 10, 2026,we gathered in remembrance,reflection and unity as NAC alongside the Sherrie Silver Foundation and Umurunga Family. we honored the lives laid to rest there,paid tribute with flowers and renewed our commitment to peace and unity.

Today, Never Again Rwanda joined its youth community students from high schools and alumni (@NA_communit), youth representatives from Umurunga Family (@UmurungaFamily), Sherrie Silver Foundation (@SherrieSilverFd), and Furaha Ministry at Rebero Genocide Memorial, alongside H.E. Irene Vida Gala (@IVG2909), Ambassador of Brazil to Rwanda, as Guest of Honor. During the visit, young people toured the memorial site, learnt about its history and significance as a memorial for politicians perpetrated during the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, and laid wreaths. In her address to the young people, H.E. Irene Vida reflected on today’s global realities while reminding the youth of their responsibility to continue building the country and safeguarding its progress. “We are currently living in a world that is perpetrating more genocides. So choose your fights wisely. Learn, understand what’s going on, and choose the good fight. The fight of peace,” she stated. #Kwibuka32 #NeverAgainRwanda
