Mwaramutse @RwandaFinance, Ese byashoboka ko mwajya mudusangiza aya makuru no mu Kinyarwanda?
📊 Did you know? For every 100 Frw planned in Rwanda's FY2026/27 budget: 🔹 68 Frw will come from domestic revenues 🔹 25 Frw from external loans 🔹 7 Frw from external grants This reflects Rwanda's continued efforts to strengthen self-reliance while leveraging strategic partnerships for development. #RwandaBudget

Using the same logic, I actually see it the other way around🤔 If we were to push Capital spending way past 39%, as a developing nation, then we’d have to continue to rely on external loans to fund the big projects. I believe keeping it at this balance ensures we are not taking on more debt than our domestic revenues can handle
Replying to @RwandaFinance
Please look for ways to cut on that recurrent spending, as a developing nation, we should be having more Capital Spending than Recurrent

The establishment of the National AI Agency, as stated by the cabinet resolutions on 8th June 2026, is proof that Rwanda's continuous strategic partnership & collaboration are prerequisites for the success of AI adoption in sectors that directly impact citizens. Across education, healthcare, agriculture, creative arts, etc, this agency is a big opportunity to enhance industry skills to be more efficient and support implementation processes using AI solutions. While this advancement is promising, however, we also need to build the talent to capitalize on it, invest in user capacity (from rural to urban), and customize it to incorporate cultural context and nuances into AI solutions.

Beyond hosting, I am always grateful to sit and listen to guests share their stories. Recording the #Kwibuka32 series on @Igitekerezo_Pod has been a particularly transformative and educative experience for me. I have had the chance to sit with individuals whose stories continue to carry the impact of the Genocide against the Tutsi in ways that are deeply personal and often difficult to put into words. Théogène's journey of growing up without knowing his parents or origins reminded me of the many untold stories among us. Stories that deserve to be told and heard. For someone listening who may carry similar wounds, hearing Théogène's journey can be a comforting reminder that they are not alone. I hope these testimonies contribute, even in a small way, to preserving our collective memory, so that young people today learn from them, and continue to learn our country's history, and why, as a nation, we chose the path of Unity and Resilience.

One of our @NARwanda Clubs at UR-CE Rukara Campus recently held a dialogue on “The Role of Youth in Building Sustainable Peace and Promoting Community Development.” Participants reflected on the importance of responsible social media use, the dangers of misinformation and false narratives, and the need for young people to be ambassadors of truth by sharing accurate and reliable information. The Club President reminded the members: “Peace is everyone’s responsibility, but the youth are its foundation.”

Great initiative. The integration of agroecology to improve economic resilience and address climate change simultaneously is a game-changer and a learning approach for other youth in agriculture. Courage FMI

Interesting topic 👌! The times are evolving, but mindsets are fixed. I would argue that social and cultural norms play the largest role in shaping how marriages should be conducted or what they should look like today. Our society is evolving, and so are the roles & expectations of both women and men. Most of our generation, like our parents' generation, still have rooted social and gender expectations, strictly what a woman's and a man's role are, even though nowadays, both partners are working, for instance. We can't have it both ways. There is a need for honest discussions among couples, without succumbing to other people defining what their marriage should be. But we avoid these because, somehow, it is a taboo to discuss the realities of today's marriages or ngo "ni ukwimena inda. It is okay to know where we are failing and know where we can ask for support without being shamed. The more we keep hiding from these uncomfortable conversations, the more the circle of failed marriages will continue. Got a couple of insights from this interesting convo, but the main takeaways are that couples that plan to marry should have honest conversations about what marriage means to them, defining it on their own terms rather than letting society dictate it. Another takeaway is the importance of integrity. As we engage in more discussions like this, we must continue to challenge assumptions and, most importantly, refuse to be misguided by the expectations of others Great ep @Igitekerezo_Pod 👌
Are relationships truly falling apart, or have people simply grown tired of waiting, sacrificing, and being patient with one another? Let’s talk about love, commitment, modern expectations, and why many relationships struggle to survive today. 👇🏾 youtu.be/z4OZhiMByks?si=pCVZ…
