Brilliant campaign by @NFFCTrust to show @Rushcliffe how much support the City Ground expansion plans have. Over 1000 people have emailed the council in the past few days. Add your name to this by following the details šŸ‘‡. We can’t afford any more delays. Get building! #NFFC

On Saturday 23rd May, Punjabi Forest hosted a fantastic Charity Football Match & Family Fun Day at Carlton Town FC in support of Switch Up and Warriors United. I attended on behalf of the NFST and it truly was a brilliant afternoon from start to finish. The sunshine stayed with us throughout the day, creating the perfect atmosphere for what was a wonderful community event bringing people together through football, culture and charity. Although I wasn’t able to stay for the full match, I saw enough to enjoy some cracking goals from both teams and it was clear how much effort had gone into making the occasion such a success. It was also a real pleasure to meet former Nottingham Forest players Ian Storey-Moore and Paul Hart, both of whom gave up their time to support the event and chat with supporters throughout the afternoon. The entertainment and atmosphere around the ground were fantastic, and of course the amazing Indian food provided by Buraans Indian Restaurant was a huge highlight! I was also incredibly proud that the NFST were able to contribute as part of a larger donation towards two truly fantastic causes. Seeing so many people come together to support Switch Up and Warriors United showed exactly what the football community is all about. Sadly, the heat won in the end and we had to head off a little earlier than planned, but it was genuinely a great day out and a huge credit to everyone involved in organising it. A massive well done to Punjabi Forest, Carlton Town FC, all of the volunteers, players, organisers and supporters who helped make the day such a success. #NFFC #PunjabiForest #NFST #SwitchUp #WarriorsUnited #FootballFamily #CharityMatch

As a group, we repeated during the season card consultation that the memberships and matchday tickets needed to be an equally important phase of dialogue. The Trust echoed this. We have jointly asked Forest for a specific consultation ASAP which will hopefully happen soon.

The Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust is pleased to support the upcoming @punjabi_forest Charity Football Match & Family Fun Day at Carlton Town FC. As part of our continued commitment to building stronger relationships across the wider Forest supporter community, including groups such as Punjabi Forest, the Trust has made a contribution on behalf of members who would like to attend the event. Members should look out for an email shortly with details on how to register their interest and claim a ticket for attendance. This is another example of how Trust membership can provide opportunities to engage with supporter events, community initiatives and partner groups connected to Nottingham Forest. If you are not yet a member and would like to benefit from future opportunities such as this, now is a great time to join the Trust and support the work being carried out on behalf of supporters.

A really interesting watch this one! At a time when there’s been a lot of discussion around safer stadiums and the matchday experience, this gives a genuinely useful insight into the scale of what’s involved. In this episode of Nottinghamshire Police’s Interview Room podcast, PC Simon Travell – Forest’s dedicated football officer for nearly a decade, talks through what it takes to police crowds of 30,000 at games, both home and away. It’s easy to see policing as just one part of the picture, but it plays a huge role in how safe, welcoming and enjoyable matchdays are for everyone. From his connection with the club and supporters, to some of the stories he’s picked up along the way, it’s well worth a watch. And yes…the big question gets answered too šŸ‘€ As we continue our conversations around safer stadiums, this is a really valuable perspective to hear. Watch here - youtu.be/zzWiGPPG7bY?si=5ePb…
