Over the past months, prisoners at Magilligan have been busy crafting bird boxes just in time for the nesting season. These have now been donated to local schools and allotments. Giving back to the community is a vital part of #rehabilitation.

Hydebank has teamed up with @LyricBelfast Drama Studio for their production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. The young men at Hydebank have built parts of the set for the play, which is running at the Lyric until 2 May.

Magilligan Governor Gary Milling and deputy Governor Alan Platt were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff for Co Londonderry, Peter Jack, to the prison today. He was shown the innovative work that led Inspectors to call Magilligan ‘one of the best prisons in the UK’.
