Justin Fairfax murdered his wife Cerina in their home, then killed himself and left their kids to pick up the pieces. As Black men, we need to be clear in moments like this: nothing is worth killing a Black woman. Nothing. Pain is real. Divorce is real. Depression is real. Rage is real. But none of it justifies violence against a woman. Too many Black women carry the weight of loving men who haven’t healed. Too many children are left to pick up trauma they didn’t create. A man who cannot control his anger is dangerous. And too often, the people closest to him pay the highest price. We don’t want excuses when others kill us. We shouldn’t make excuses when Black men kill Black women either. Accountability must be consistent. Protection must be intentional. Healing must be a priority. I grieve for Cerina, her children, and everyone who loved her. And I want Black men to hear this plainly: If you harm a woman, that is not manhood. Get help before you become harm.

Our daughter, Rachel Corrie, was killed in 2003 in Gaza, while trying to protect a Palestinian home facing illegal destruction by the Israeli military. She was 23 years old. The massive, armored Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer that crushed her was operated by two Israeli soldiers and manufactured in the United States. It was the same type of militarized bulldozer that US presidents from George W. Bush through to Donald Trump have delivered to Israel. Today, as the destruction of Palestinian homes has only become more commonplace, not to mention the horror of Israel’s genocide, Senator Bernie Sanders will force a vote in the Senate to try to end this cycle of death by banning the transfer of D-9 bulldozers to Israel. We hope he will not take this stand alone. No policy can bring back those taken from us by these actions—children and other loved ones. But the Senate now has an opportunity to honor the memories of our daughter, other Americans, and thousands of Palestinian civilians killed, and to show that their deaths, and all the destruction, will no longer be condoned and funded. We hope those elected to represent us, the American people, understand the message that voting to block these D-9 bulldozers will send. This will not be a symbolic gesture, but a concrete step toward the protection of human life. thenation.com/article/politi…

In today's committee meeting, RFK Jr. flat out lied when he claimed that he never said that Black children with ADHD need to be taken from their homes and sent away to be "re-parented." He said he wants to see the recording? Here it is!

I’m glad DC & the other states didn’t back down when DOJ caved!
BREAKING: We just won our antitrust trial against @LiveNation and @Ticketmaster. Live Nation has raked in billions in profits from an illegal monopoly that coerces venues, restricts artists, and exploits fans. DC and a bipartisan coalition of 33 states refused to join DOJ's settlement because it failed to hold Live Nation accountable. Now, a jury has declared Live Nation to be an illegal monopoly — and awarded damages for years of exploitation. This is a massive win in the fight for fairness for local venues, artists, and fans.

washingtonians pushing back against the normalization of a military occupation of their city is not ā€œthe worst in people and societyā€ — it’s a reasonable and justifiable position we should all be mad that the national guard is being used as political props by the president!
Twitter sadly can bring out the worst in people & society. I have deep respect for those that wear a uniform to serve our community & country; be it Metro staff or Nat’l Guard. Opine on politics or hate on me 🤷 but pls be nice to public servants who are just doing their jobs

She told 7News the Channel Square Apartments called police on her after she tried to teach tenants about their rights. Tenants told 7News they feel this is retaliation for their reports and complaints about conditions inside.

On April 3, 1968, the night before he was assassinated, my father delivered what would be his final speech, ā€œI’ve Been to the Mountaintop.ā€ He spoke with a clarity that came from conviction, not certainty. He acknowledged the difficulty of the days ahead, yet he was not moved by fear. He was anchored in purpose and in a faith that justice would prevail. What stands out to me is not only what he said, but how he said it. He was preparing people to stay committed, to stay disciplined, and to continue the work, even without him. His words are not just history. They are instruction. Watch the full speech: youtu.pulse.ly/fymqiqfrfx #MLK #BelovedCommunity #Nonviolence365

MESSAGE I wholeheartedly endorse the powerful appeal for peace made by the Holy Father, Pope Leo, during his Palm Sunday Mass. His call for the laying down of arms and the renunciation of violence resonated profoundly with me, as it speaks to the very essence of what all major religions teach. Indeed, whether we look to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or any of the world's great spiritual traditions, the message is fundamentally the same: love, compassion, tolerance, and self-discipline. Violence finds no true home in any of these teachings. History has shown us time and again that violence only begets more violence and is never a lasting foundation for peace. An enduring resolution to conflict, including the ones we see in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, must be rooted in dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect — approached with the understanding that, at the deepest level, we are all brothers and sisters. I urge for and pray that the violence and conflicts may soon come to an end. DALAI LAMA 31 March 2026

Yes, those are nooses for lapels Israeli’s are wearing. Yes, it’s for what you think it means. So, yes Zionism is a racist, supremacist ideology. We should all be sickened by anyone continuing to rationalize this behavior.
