Visually impaired students deserve an equal education, not a restricted syllabus that limits their future. 📚⚖️ Two NGOs, Saksham Punjab @welfare_saksham and Udan Empowerment Trust. @uddan_trust , have filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging the Punjab School Education Board’s (PSEB) decision to impose a reduced "question bank-based" syllabus on visually impaired students in Classes 9 to 12. The petition argues that this system is inherently discriminatory. Visual impairment does not impact intellectual capability! When provided with reasonable accommodations—like accessible digital books, screen readers, and scribes—visually impaired students are fully capable of studying the mainstream curriculum and competing at the highest levels. True inclusion means equal access to education, not segregating students based on disability.
