I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.

Been brushing up on the discourse and I’ve decided that every single person is richer than me is a greedy bastard and every single person poorer than me is a loser. I and only I have the exact right amount of money.

Describe how playing it 'cool' at the expense of achieving your ambitions has improved your life in any way. [ 3 marks ]

the most rebellious thing you can do in a world that profits from your insecurity is wake up every day and genuinely like yourself.

What would it look like if you brought an Olympic level of intensity and focus toward your goals? Athletes do this naturally. They work out every day, stick to the same routine, watch film, track their progress, manage their diet, and obsess over marginal improvements. Nobody thinks that's weird. That's what it takes to compete at the highest level. But for some reason, when it comes to writing, comedy, entrepreneurship, or really any other field, we don't hold ourselves to the same standard. We show up when we feel like it, wing it, and then wonder why we're not getting better.

Kanye West locked himself in his room, making five beats a day for three summers straight. Sit in your room and create, and eventually you'll be invited into new rooms.

Of course you are struggling to sleep. You have betrayed yourself from the moment you woke up. Face your mess.

You don't go into the grocery store for no reason and walk out with nothing but without realizing it, this is what you're doing on social media every day. The only way to defend yourself against brainrot is to have an objective every single time you get on the apps. Get on to learn something, read something specific, generate ideas, write something. Make the grocery list, get in, get out. Close the app having taken something away. This is as good as it gets.

If you continue to waste your days now, you have no reason to worry about maintaining yourself for the future. You do nothing with your intelligence, nothing with your beauty, nothing with your time. If you don't make use of your gifts now, what are you even preserving them for? To continue doing nothing in the future? This is the miserable irony of the hoarder. Always collecting; concerned about loss; anxious over expiration. In the end, they realise they held it all. But because they never used it – it was as good as nothing.

For f*ck sake. Be optimistic. Be extreme. Be relentless. The world is waiting for you to raise the bar and finally go all in. Execute. Inspire. Show us what’s possible.

You gotta be putting like 10x shots on net compared to what you’re currently doing. Most people take one shot every few years. To run up the score you should be putting up 2-3 shots a day minimum. At the end of each year you’ve shot thousands of shots while most people did nothing. It’s a numbers game. Your shooting percentage can be horrible and you’ll still lap everyone. Gotta score to win. Gotta shoot to score. Shoot more.

I think one of the biggest differences between high agency and low agency people is this: High agency people believe reality can be negotiated with.
traits of people with high agency: > book flights impulsively > say "call me" instead of texting essays > can become obsessed overnight > walk around during phone calls > buy before they feel ready > don’t ask group chats for opinions > can survive on very little comfort > good at talking to strangers > slightly delusional > treat embarrassment like a temporary side effect > can disappear socially without feeling guilty > low tolerance for slow people > thinks most problems are figureoutable > dangerously optimistic > oddly calm when things go wrong
