The best high school coaches aren't calling plays every possession.
They're teaching their players how to read the game.
Spacing. Angles. Timing. Decision-making.
Basketball IQ wins more games than any clipboard ever will.
Schools need to put a stop to unlimited extensions on late work.
When students learn that deadlines are optional, they also learn that responsibility is optional.
What a crazy, unexpected NBA season this was. I love basketball. Even when it's not great, it's still better than anything else. Thanks as always for reading, watching, listening, following and engaging. Now, it's time for me to get to work! The offseason has officially started!
The Knicks are such a great champion. A team filled with guys who can pass, shoot and defend at every level. They took risks building this roster. They built around Brunson and KAT, two guys who were viewed as sub-star guys at their old spots. And now theyāre champions. Awesome.
Jalen Brunson sacrificed over $100 million to give the Knicks a better chance to compete for a title.
Tonight heās an NBA champion and a legend in New York for life.
Brunson is one of the toughest basketball players that Iāve ever seen. Through knee injuries .. ankles.. heās still seeking contact every play no matter if he has the ball or not
CJ Johnson was impressive with his athleticism around the rim and ability to finish through contact.
At 6ā4ā he moves well in transition and looks to get the ball to the rim as quick as possible for easy buckets. He is able to get downhill consistently with his craftiness.
HS RECRUITS: what is in high demand???
UNDENIABLE TALENT/ top tier impact guys- physically and athletically / skillfully ready to compete Day 1
ADVANTAGE CREATION GUARDS/ playmakers - can you enhance your team -
SHOOTERS..
DEFENDERS/ shot blockers/ Rebounders - BIGS!!!
PASSION OVER TALENT
Coaches understand that you need talent to win. They also know that players that ācareā and have passion about what they are doing will impact winning more consistently than players that donāt.
This translates to development, as we are forced to figure out how to create environments where players need to be engaged, competitive, and care!
