Big news: the Legislature has answered my call to deliver the largest increase in pay to New Mexico teachers in recent memory, increasing base salary levels by an average of 20%.
We are making New Mexico teachers the best-compensated educators in the region.

The House Education Committee has voted 11-0 to recommend passage of SB1 to raise teacher minimum salaries to $50K, $60K and $70K. The bill, a priority for @GovMLG, faces the House Appropriations and Finance Committee next.
